About
I'm Mira Halden, an independent product designer. I work with small teams, usually three to ten people, for a few months at a time.
How I work
I start where the product is used: at the tram stop, at the kitchen table, next to the plant on the windowsill. Then I sketch on paper, test rough versions early, and only polish what survives.
I write a lot. Every project ends with a short document that explains what we decided and why, so the team can keep going after I leave.
What I'm good at
- Turning a long process into a short one
- Error messages, empty states and the other screens nobody plans for
- Design systems small enough that a team actually keeps them up to date
What I don't do
Logos and brand identities. I'm happy to recommend people who do them well.
